Urgent appointments for poorly children under the age of 16 years are always available on the day at Lowther Medical Centre
Please contact Reception if your child is unwell and needs to be seen the same day and the Receptionist will book an Urgent appointment with one of the Clinicians
Children who are registered with Lowther Medical Centre may also be seen via the Walk-in/Open Access Service which runs Monday to Friday, 9.00-10.00 am. No appointment necessary but there may be a wait of up to 2 hours. (Please note - the waiting time may differ dependent upon medical emergencies and unforeseen circumstances)
PHONE APP - A phone app is now also available for NHS guidance on childhood illnesses. The app was designed, in partnership with the North East, for parents and carers providing NHS advice to help look after their children’s health.
The NHS guide is for parents and carers of children aged 0-5 years – providing easy to understand guidance on childhood illnesses, recognising when their child is unwell, and advice on when and where to seek further treatment.
